As Dandy Don Meredith notability sang to Howard Cossell on Monday Night Football in another century, “Turn out the lights; the party’s over!” No, there will be no party this year to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our Declaration of Independence. The Democratic Party faithful cannot let anything this patriotic occur this Year of Just Say No to anything President Donald Trump proposes, defends, associates with, acts upon, or even just happens. The ‘Resistance” reigns in progressive land! And the mid-term elections are coming!
The Democratic Party came limping out of the 2024 presidential election led by their presidential candidate Vice-President Kamala Harris no hits, no runs, and numerous errors. Her never-ending book tour only reminded American voters of her vacuous word-salad responses to an adoring media while she charmed them in breathless anticipation regarding her plans to run again in 2028 as the leader of the Democratic Party.
California Governor Gavin Newsom created his own excitement as the likely Democratic alternate to lead the Party in 2028 by touting his successes while governor of California. His misadventure at the Munich Security Conference 2026 in February was followed by a callous questioner: “Why was he here?” These two early possible Democratic entrants for 2028 have yet to provide them with a true Party leader.
Without leadership to define Democratic policies, this leaves the Party with nothing other than violently opposing whatever Trump advocates until their Champion for 2028 appears.
As a result, the Democrats are against the American and Israeli conflict to rid the Middle East of ongoing Iranian oil blackmail and the military mischief of Iran’s proxy terrorists. They want the Iranian conflict to go badly or to lose it, for a Trump success for them is worse than an a strong Iran with nuclear weapons.
Also, the Democrats want high energy prices caused by the closure of the Straits of Hormuz because it helps them argue against fossil fuel usage and their ability to control the world’s energy industries and aid our Russian and Chinese adversaries.
Democrats sacrificed their previous support for women’s sports rights to promote sterilization of children under eighteen years of age who suffer from various mental illnesses.
The Democrats oppose voter citizenship requirements because its passage will reduce their ability to manipulate illegal election results.
The shutdown was called because the Democrats do not want illegal immigrants deported. Democrats allow American citizens to die unnecessarily in the riots they create or being murdered by immigrants they allowed to enter the country illegally. Then Democrats protected them in Sanctuary Cities from deportation, and the Democratic controlled progressive media fails to report accurately on their deaths or by ignoring the issue.
The Democrats have shut down government agencies without their employees being paid twice in the last six months. They departed Washington for Easter vacation leaving the Department of Homeland Security to defend our nation in time of war without its employees receiving pay checks. Democrats even opposed paying them when Trump found emergency laws and excess funds to pay these low-income civil servants.
Last weekend, Democrats sanctioned No Kings Day rallies attended by millions and funded by two billionaires intent on changing the American Republic into a communist, one-world utopia.
By their turning away from American greatness, on the Fourth of July 2026 the Democrats will easily find excuses to rain on our nation’s 250th Anniversary Parade! But, for this weekend, put aside the negativism of the progressive Democrat Party and enjoy the awe-inspiring message of Easter.
