95-year-old Malphine Fogel met backstage last July 13 with Donald Trump before a campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania. She asked for his help in getting her son released from a Russian prison. Marc Fogel was arrested in 2021 and was serving a fourteen-year prison sentence. She feared she would die before she saw him again. Trump promised his mother help to get him out, and she was ushered into the VIP section of the rostrum to listen to Trump’s speech.
Minutes later, an assassin’s bullet grazed Trump’s ear and a congressman covered Ms. Fogel to protect her from the barrage of shots fired. Until last week when Trump brought Marc Fogel back home to his mother, their exchange in Butler last summer was unknown when the 2024 Presidential Election was still undecided.
But when Trump bounced up from the floor with blood flowing down his cheek shouting “Fight! Fight! Fight!”, most who viewed him that day instinctively knew Donald Trump would be president again because the nation was eagerly longing for someone to Stand Up for Their Country!
The election is over, and Trump is back in the White House rapidly fulfilling promises made in the campaign, including that made privately to a 95-year-old mother. The usual suspects are out on the streets rabblerousing their remaining few acknowledged constituents against what most American voters elected Trump to accomplish.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, as the leader of the House minority, knows full well that the U.S. House of Representatives is by the Constitution the instigator of all Federal funding that has ballooned U.S. borrowing to over $36 trillion. The U.S. budget is forecasted to continue adding $2 trillion or more annually. Yet, Jeffries is out on the barricades leading his party’s faithful partisans into obstructing the reductions investigated by Elon Musk and his presidentially accredited DOGE associates.

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, without any specific education, obvious credentials, or special knowledge, has established herself as a self-appointed expert on Federal regulation of finance, banking, bankruptcy policies, and consumer spending. She is running around with her Pants on Fire claiming that Trump, following the majority will of American voters, is creating a “Constitutional Crisis”, not the $36 trillion the country has borrowed for future generations to pay.
The real Constitutional Crisis is that every man, woman and child in the country is obligated as American citizens for their portion of that debt, over $110,000! If bills were sent out for that amount today, what would be the default percentage even if each citizen is allowed 30-, 60- or even 90-day payment terms? Maybe Warren’s bankruptcy experts can make that calculation.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schummer, Jewish in Name Only (JINO) or when it is convenient, has had little voice that Hamas has held both Jewish and Americans captive in primitive conditions for almost 500 days. Of the 76 not yet released, only 42 are believed still alive, where were his calls for them all to be released immediately? Since the Hamas assault on Israel on October 7, 2023, Schumer has criticized Netanyahu, called Israel to accept a defeating Cease-Fire, and covertly supported the ICC attempt to try Netanyahu for Genocide by withholding a Senate vote against the Court.

Gavin Newsom, Governor of California and Democrat presidential Candidate-in-Waiting, just signed a California State law allocating $50 million to fund California’s opposition to President Trump’s initiatives which were approved by the 77 million American citizens that just voted Trump into office. Simultaneously, Newsom and his staff are working on proposals for the Federal government to approve $billions of aid to California citizens for fire losses in which state and local incompetence played a significant role. When California officials go to Washington with their hands out asking for federal help, the State’s tax base will continue to erode as thousands flee to other more well-governed states.

Congresswomen Maxine Waters and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won the dual Loudmouth/Stupidity Award for jumping into the protests and discussions on immigration and DOGE’s efforts to cut Federal spending. Ocasio-Cortez reinforced her hold on a prominent place in the Stupidity Universe by referring to Elon Musk as “one of the most unintelligent billionaires” she has ever met.
Both Congresswomen may be too angry to “Stand Up for Your Country”, lead, follow, or get out of the way, but graciously the Constitution’s First Amendment grants free speech rights to all Americans.
Notwithstanding the above, kudos are due to all our former presidents Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Biden for staying quietly on the sideline and letting the new Trump Administration work through the nation’s problems.
Marc Fogel returned home last week when President Trump quietly and without fanfare diverted his Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, to Russia. Last week Witkoff with Trump’s threat to him also obtained more hostage releases from Hamas, including the last American that had been held in Gaza for almost 500 days. Stand Up for Your Country!
