“The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous….if only ten righteous people can be found there, I will not destroy it”. Like Abraham’s argument with the Lord over the fate of the evil city where his son, Lot, and his family lived in the ancient Middle East, modern special interests have allowed Iran and its evil mullahs to perpetuate grievous outrages against America, our friends, its neighbors, and its own people for forty-seven years without suffering any accountability.
Iran began its transgressions by holding 66 U.S. Embassy employees’ hostages for 444 days in 1979-1981. Being in a continuous war against the West and Israel, Iran inserted its disruptive hand into every major conflict during that time, including providing Putin with arms for his invasion of Ukraine and arming a string of proxies to increase its hegemony over its neighbors. Its strategic objectives were to destroy Israel and to delete America’s presence in the region. The means used by the mullahs through its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the threat of obtaining nuclear weapons to intimidate all those around them.
The most recent assault on Israel occurred on October 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked Israel from Gazza killing over 1,200 Israeli, America, and other international citizens and taking over 200 captives into Gazza as hostages. Iranian proxies from Lebanon and Yemen joined in the effort to destroy Israel from the ‘river to the sea’. President Trump supported Prime Minister Netanyahu and Israel in its war to eliminate Hamas and helped secure the return of all hostages held by Hamas. Together they joined in the Twelve-Day War to eliminate Iran’s nuclear programs with a massive air campaign in June 2025 and again this past Saturday when they sought an end to the Iranian threat against the West.
Despite the initial success of the new campaign in taking out the Iranian leadership, Democrats, with a lone exception, have flooded the airways criticizing the effort that leaders have agreed must be done but were too timid to do the job themselves. At the same time, the Democrats were holding up funding for the Homeland Security Department that has the responsibility for protecting the nation from terrorists sympathetic to Iran who may have entered the country illegally under Biden’s Open Border Policy.
In a 2025 Gallup poll, 60% of Democrats ‘viewed Israel unfavorably’. In the same poll,’83% of Republicans said they had a favorable view of Israel, and just 13% unfavorable’. Gallup survey finds 60% of Democrats are anti-Israel
The United States needs a few good men in Congress, as few as ten to twenty Representatives and Senators, who are willing to support issues that are good for the nation, not partisan attempts to vote against every policy or action, by definition, taken by Donald Trump. The nation has not had the few good men to keep federal spending under control, which had held Defense spending to levels insufficient to meet its global responsibilities. A few good men were needed to question and abort the Biden Administration’s unimpeded entrance into our country of an estimated over 10 million illegal, unknown immigrants into the country in just four years. When less than ten good men were found in Sodom and Gomorrah, the God of Abraham rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah destroying the cities!
