The annals of history are filled with accounts of kings, emperors, and generals who failed to recognize that their latest endeavor was a ‘bridge to far’. The most famous bridges too far involved aggressive leaders like Napoleon Bonaparte and Adolf Hitler who both failed to conquer Russia. Distance, logistics, casualties, and weather combined to defeat their armies once they reached Moscow.
Similarly, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and the Progressive Democratic Party attempted to drive our nation along a series of pathways unknown in political history. Their ultimate destinations culminated with bridges that was too far beyond our traditional politics or culture for reasonable Americans to accept. This week after Donald Trump took office, he was forced to sign a series of Presidential Orders stating the obvious to redirect the nation away from Progressive foolhardiness.
Yet following just four years of Progressive governance, it was necessary for President Trump to issue a first-day Presidential Order reaffirming that within our species only two genders existed – male and female. With this astounding revelation, they were able to rationalize that choice overcomes physiology. This new concept made it possible, in their eyes, to have fair athletic conflicts between man-made female athletes, created by conscious choice from birth males, over God-made female athletes. This presidential action was required because Progressive ideologues had somehow determined that after five thousand years of recorded human history gender was a matter of choice, not birth – and they were molding politics in our society to accept this absurdity!
Where were the voices of rational Americans that sat quietly while this denunciation of humankind was being perpetuated? And being promoted by Mud Hens in the Media?
This Progressive gender illusion that female physiology was equivalent to that of males was forced by them to be imbedded into U.S. military doctrine. Again, in his Inauguration Speech, President Trump addresses this false premise proclaiming, “I will sign an order to stop our warriors from being subjected to radical political theories and social experiments while on duty. It’s going to end immediately. Our armed forces will be free to focus on their sole mission—defeating America’s enemies”.
Why did President Trump feel obliged to state the obvious?
The forty-one four-star U.S. generals each took an oath to protect our Constitution (nation) ‘against all enemies, foreign and domestic’. Did they all become political sycophants?
Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley implemented these policies as quietly as possible and away from public scrutiny. Maybe that is why less than thirty minutes prior to leaving office President Biden granted General Milley an unconditional pardon!
Liberal thought in America advanced the need for our nation to live up to its founding Declaration of Independence that ‘all Men are created equal’, however, modern Progressives decided our society was best served by abandoning a merit-based society. Once in power, Progressives began replacing it with a society where priority is awarded based on race, skin color, sex, and the newly created phases of gender – and their pronouns. This was another bridge too far!
Here again, President Trump was forced to issue first-day orders that would ‘forge a society that is colorblind, and merit based’. On Inauguration Day, Trump signed orders to dismantle all government diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within 60 days.
Progressive hubris convinced its advocates that in addition to performing God-like sex changes, they could also control the Earth’s climate. When they had full control of the U.S. government in 2021, Progressives in the Biden Administration developed faulty policy mandates that began implementing this flight from reality. To be accepted, reasonable individuals must abandon any pretense of critical thought. With the active participation of a compliant press, Progressives claimed the following bridge-too-far objectives could be reached to control the Earth’s temperature:
- Continuously sustainable, cost-effective electric power grids will be built worldwide using wind, solar, and battery sources without using fossil fuels.
- Battery-powered vehicles will replace fossil fuels for all transportation purposes, including land, air, and sea propulsion.
- Citizens in developed nations will make major investments and absorb the high-cost energy needed to make the proposed energy transitions.
- Western nations purchasing Chinese EVs, solar panels, and batteries will not cause a major shift to China’s world economic power.
- Nations will prevent the Earth’s temperature increase by eliminating fossil fuel usage.
The world’s energy-based economies evolved and were implemented over the last 150 years. Most industrialized nations are awash in massive amounts of national debt. Only the most addled-minded ideologues would conceive and then mandate industrial plans replacing our modern life-sustaining energy resources with mass, unproven solar and wind power systems that operate intermittently.
Motivated by greed, power, and ideology, politicians of both political parties allowed, promoted, and voted for implementation of the above programs supported by those beneficiaries of the $trillions they were using to solidify their power.
Fortunately for our future prosperity, Donald Trump had the business experience, the will, and the power of the pen to cease this unilateral, energy-disarmament program on Day One of his second incoming Administration.
Had another been elected on November 5th instead of Trump, our ancestors might all be enrolled Chinese language courses and exchanging currency with a big picture of Xi Jinping smiling back at them.
Now that would be a bridge too far!
